- 13:30-14:30 Prof. Daniel Rodriguez演講,講題Regulatory Innovation Along the Frontier: The Need for Governments to Adapt to Technological Developments
Governments in the U.S. and elsewhere struggle to develop regulatory strategies to deal with emerging and rapidly changing social problems, especially problems that may cause harms to individual and collective security, privacy, and public health. For example, the new developments in generative artificial intelligence can create privacy and other problems and the current menu of regulatory techniques are ill-adapted to these innovations. Likewise, public health emergencies such as the Covid-19 worldwide pandemic and also threats from climate change are examples of new and highly complex problems that call for adaptive strategies. In this talk, Professor Daniel B. Rodriguez will consider how best to think about regulatory innovation along the frontier, and how we might usefully think about new best practices in the regulation space
