Preinstall OS Image Engineer (Toshiba Notebook and Mobile Devices)

Preinstall Image Engineer will work on Operating System Image Projects with the Preinstall Image Program Managers to deliver top quality localized Preinstall OS images for Toshiba Notebook computers and mobile devices.

- Create and maintain Localized Preinstall OS Image Software List from software components

- Review and track the Preinstall Image development progress and milestones.

- Coordinate Preinstall Image Quality Testing between various Testing organizations and provide feedback to the Software Program Manager.

- Investigate the software/image problems and propose countermeasures to resolve all software issues.

- Work with other teams (Project PM, Hardware, BIOS etc. from Toshiba and ODMs) to provide Software support for new product launch.

- Provide Software and Technical support to the World Wide Image Development Team to create the Global Images.

- Develop test plan from software specification, and execute test cases. Review test reports from suppliers. Supervise suppliers to resolve issues and finish projects on time.

- Bachelor/Master Degree in computer related majors with focus on software technology.

- Top/excellent academic standing.

- Extensive software development experience (school projects, intern work, and coursework) on Windows, Windows CE, Windows Mobile, Linux, Android, Symbian, etc.

- Experience, training, or coursework in areas such as software engineering, project management, operating systems, and web and mobile application development.

- Experience in building OS images from software components and source files. Keen to master the OS image build and test technology, and to continuously improving the process.

- Ability to review software specification and develop test plan and test cases from the specification. Able to review test plans from suppliers and provide improvement suggestions.

- Computer Languages: C/C++, Java, scripting languages such as VBS. Other mainstream computer languages experience is also desirable.

- Good command of English.
